i have used cute as an expression. sometimes it is the only word that works. doesnt mean you are a girl. unless of course, im a complete freak of nature.

Guys can say cute if they want.
I often refer to things or (more often) girls as cute.  I also think that macs laptops are "cute."
Kawai sounds so much better though.   :D
