Why not just use the .zip compression? Its built-in, in finder, no registration dialogs!

Even in OSX versions before panther you can use gzip from the commandline.

just type:

$ man gzip

to get info on how to do it.

The part that does not include the results does not change. I can use reletave locations wich allow for some error. Just dont worry about it. I do the work. And, the funny thing is that I made an applescript that I put on my desktop that would automatically gzip things. The fact that Apple put in that menu feature is cool, and easier, so I use it.
