Not quite free, but a whopping 10 times less expensive then M$ Office v.X

I have OS X 10.2 on a PowerBook "Wallstreet" 233 MHz G3, no problems here. It is a great OS...definately. If Linux is too much (or you are too impatient to learn), and Windows sucks (which it does) then Mac is the way to go.
