PowerMac Clone Firewire Trouble
« on: 26 June 2002, 07:43 »
I have a Power Computing PowerTower Pro 225 with a NewerTech G3 400 Upgrade Card. I upgraded from OS 9 to 9.1 last week and now my system freezes during startup. It doesn't do it if I remove my PCI to Firewire Card. The Firewire card is a pull from a true PowerMac and is a Solectron or PCILynx (Apple OEM?) if that makes any difference. The card was recognized while I was running OS 9. I'm at a loss.
All it takes is a gallon of kerosene and a box of strike-anywhere matches.

Get new drivers. 9.1 broke a good number of drivers for FireWire and USB.
