SMB works flawlessly in Jaguar... OS X.2 will even recognize windows shares in the network browser.

Installing new RAM voids your warranty, BTW. Apple reps were very unforgiving on that point when we hauled the ethernet-dead iBook in for service.

How can they tell if we have installed new RAM? Can we just remove it before sending it in to apple?

heljy:
I am wondering if I should get the airport card together with the ibook or should I just buy it seperately?

Is it going to be cheaper if I do that?

The airport card is currently seling for $99 at apple.com

INSTALLING RAM DOES NOT VOID YOUR WARRENTIE!!!

That is old! That was like 1991 old, Apple changed that dumbass policy a while back. Allong with installing HD's and other components. They recomend using an authorized technitian, but they don't penalize you for doing it yourself.

Case in Point, Apple sen't me a replacement for a bad HD I had, they asked if I wan'ted them to install it or if I was confident in doing it myself. I said, ya I can do it, and my warentie is still good.

Whatever...
