true, i like ultralightwieghter stuff like windowmaker and fluxbox, and heavy stuff like kde with mosfet's liquid installed.

Gnome with bluecurve kinda reminds me of a mix between OS 9 and Windows 2000. The way I have it set up anyway, with the menubar on top.

gnome in red hat 8 is the best default GUI setup i have seen on linux so far. not that it couldn't be better, but they set it up to look nice, and even kde looks quite nice out of the box in red hat 8.
