What is the difference between Lithium Ion (iBook & Old PB), Lithium Polymer (iPod), and Lithium Prismatic (New PB)?

I already posted this on the Apple boards and only got one reply that totally did not help.  Maybe some more educated people have a better answer.

I've never heard of Lithium Prismatic... I know LiIon's pretty old, it's been used in machines forever. There's no risk of battery memory like NiCad (thank Mord).
