How can WMP be more substandard than it already is?

if M$ removes WMP from windows then that windows would be even better than the current version there shipping.  Then again.  I can see why it can't since everything in windows is related to everything else.

There was a vey big step in wrong direction for MS in the EU vs MS trial

Real networks came out and showed the court an industrial version of Windows XP running rather well without WMP.....HAHA
