Could someone give me some info on the mysterious AU/X?  Why did this Unix OS not last long?

They sold very poorly apparently, and are now near impossible to find...I want one to play with, but I have had no luck finding one. If you do find one for sale, post it. Thanks!

Applefritter has a great section on A/UX, and my friend and neighbor has a copy of A/UX 2.0 and he's trying to get it to run.
