I can't get xtunes to compile OR launch from rpm.

And the guys at the site are no help.

As for the iPod + Ogg vorbis, the iPod does have firmware upgrades (applied through iTunes) that allow it to do new things. go to the iPod website and click on 'Feedback'. Hopefully iTunes will have ogg support next release.
