btw, I second Powermax. I got my iBook through them.

I originally ordered a Lombard 400 Powerbook, but it had a bad cooling fan and it suffered from heat-related lockups. they exchanged it for a slightly more expensive iBook... no questions asked.

Of course you can upgrade a G3 to a G4. Companies like Sonnet sell processor upgrades. The only thing is that there just might be compatibility issues (like if you want Panther) . . . and it might just set you back more than you originally paid for the computers. You can also check the requirements of Panther.
