My old mac
Calum:
that seems odd to me. are you sure that it's not a self extracting archive?
how about if you unzip it on your linux machine onto an MSDOS disk? or if it's too large, use this program here and then once that's installed, you'll be able to use it to unzip the real alladin expander.
of course you will have to download the linux version of aladin expander (available from aladin's website) to do this, plus i am assuming that system 7 can read msdos disks (although i am almost totally certain that it can)
how's that? not perfect...
Doogee:
there is no stuffit expander for linux, only the compressor.
Why oh why doesnt anyone make a file that i can just run on the damn thing, i thought macs were meant to be easy.
Doogee:
well i got the file decompressed and i put them on a hfs disk through linux and the mac read them fine but when i try to run a file it says it doesnt know which program created it or sometihng. also all the files have the same icon, how do i tell the mac that this is a program for fuxx0rs sake

Aladdin says that you do need Stuffit to get Stuffit, which is easily the most retarded thing I've heard. Ever.
Try downloading Netscape, which may have a built in binhex decoder... (click Mac Classic)
http://wp.netscape.com/download/full_install.html
.Bin files should work fine. So if you could get files in that format, it would be cool.
EDIT: Check the disks, BTW. I could swear stuffit was on one of my install disks...
