i like parties.... sometimes i have office parties and open up staroffice, openoffice, and Koffice so they can mingle and have a good time. Broswer parties arent bad, I got netscape, mozilla1.1 mozilla1.0, netscape, opera, phoenix, konqueror, lynx, and whatever the gnome browser is (thats in linux).
My mac just has netscape 2.02

You have a console stream over the wallpaper?
Your Dock goes across the bottom... AND the side of the screen?!?

My GF is the one who uses IE.
I tried to sell her on Mozilla, but she's used to IE from her work, even though her work PC running IE6 for Windoze and IE 5.2.1 for OS X are NOTHING alike.
Any time she visits a site and our machine identifies itself to the server as IE, it's just re-affirming M$ presence on the web.
I'll try another Mozilla sales pitch tonight.

lame. You can even skin mozilla and opera so she won't even be able to tell the difference. Actually, she will, but for usability's sake it will be all the same thing. Why she wants an ugly ass skin on a browser is beyond me though...
no offence intended.

It's called Desktop Console.
It will display your console or any log (like your ftp log) on top of your desktop picture, and it runs in the background. You can even have multiple consoles and logs in different areas of your desktop. For instance, I can have my console starting at coordinates 0,0 at a size of 768x450, and my ftp log at coordinates 0, 450 at a size of 768X450, so both are displayed simultaneously and updated dynamically in my choice of fonts and colors.
MANY times I have pinpointed problems I would never have spotted, because whenever I opened an app with a problem, by desktop console immediately shows me what happened on my desktop.
If someone tries to hack me, I'm immediately aware because the FTP log immediately shows and attempted connection.
It's pretty nice.
The dock, well, when you have magnification cranked all the way up (like when I want to take a peek at a movie minimized in the dock, as shown), it pushes the other dock items over temporarily.
