Equivalent terms, apps, and OS features between Windows and Mac OS X

My Computer = In the Finder, go to the File menu, and choose "New Finder Window". Mounted volumes are also displayed on the desktop by default.

Windows Explorer = Finder

Control Panel = System Preferences

Start Button = Dock, Desktop, Finder windows

Taskbar = Dock

System Tray = Menu modules and docklings

Command Prompt = Terminal

Device Manager = Apple System Profiler

Recycle Bin = Trash

MS Office XP = MS Office v.X, OpenOffice

Internet Explorer = Internet Explorer (Microsoft), Mozilla (mozilla.org), Netscape (America Online), Chimera (mozilla.org), iCab (icab.de), Opera (opera.com), OmniWeb (?)

Photoshop = Photoshop (Adobe), Painter (Corel procreate), CorelPhoto/Paint

Windows Movie Maker = iMovie (Apple)

Premiere = Premiere (Adobe), Final Cut Pro (Apple

WinAmp = iTunes (Apple), Mint Audio (Unsanity)

Windows Media Player = Quicktime (Apple), RealOne (Real.com), Windows Media Player (Microsoft)

That can't be everything. Please feel free to add, guys!

MS Works = Appleworks

By the way, Omniweb is at www.omnigroup.com

Don't forget to mention that most apps have cross-platform file formats (yes, mention jpg and gifs, because some people are not sure about it, or are not confident in their assuredness).

You should also give a directory of high-quality OS X software developers, i.e. OmniGroup, BareBones Software, Nisus (apparently they bought Okito, and are coming out with a Cocoa word processor!! yay!!) etc... just so people can see what's happening, and there is a variety of high quality software to choose from... a link to Apple's MacOSX download index would help a lot too.
