Why is it so hard for people to realize that the software components that make it "Mac OS X" are not part of Darwin.

With Darwin, you get a Mach-powered BSD-like UNIX. That's it. It's NOTHING LIKE OS X.

Rhapsody is. Rhapsody DR2 looks nearly identical to Mac OS X Server 1.x, which then evolved into Mac OS X. It looks much like OS 8.5.

OPENSTEP is less like OS X, but not by much. You'll still see where parts of it directly evolved into OS X.

If you get Darwin, you'll be sorely disappointed when you find yourself simply staring at BASH.

Get Rhapsody DR2 or OPENSTEP. Do it. You'll thank yourself. You'll suddenly realize what's been missing from your computer using experience.

So you love your pc so much that you will always tolerate endless virusis and infected emails, endless security updates due to the crap patchwork programming of the OS and using an operating system that is released to customers in a beta version by a company that has global monopoly and treats all its customers as gullible mugs!

PC = Windows <WRONG

A PC doesn't have to run Windows, it can run Linux and other good OSs.

And Jimmy - Rhapsody DR2, where can I get that?  :confused:
