it says that it is a PC document. I downloaded it using Linux and put it on to a disk because my Mac cannot connect to the internet. Do i have to convert it somehow or something to something??

You decode it using StuffIt Expander on the Mac. If StuffIt Expander isn't on the Mac, we'll need to do this another way.

i dragged the ico over stuffit expander and it asks me where i want it sent to, i send it to a directory and then it seems to be decoding but nothing appears in the folder afterwards.

Bob, are you using DOS format disks to get the data from your internet machine to your mac?

Also, if you really do need stuffit, but absolutely cannot find a way to install it on your mac, there is a little known windows version of stuffit expander that works great, you will probably be able to use it in wine or wine, it's not a complicated program from what i can see. Sorry, i have not got much meaningful input here...

If the Mac has an obsession with a floppy that contains no open files or windows, hit Apple Key + Period (this trick is sometimes called Cancel Fast). It works 99% of the time, the other 1%, I hit Apple Key + Power (I don't know if this works on pb's) and type G FINDER in the debugger box and hit return. This is kinda like hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del on a PC.
If Windows XP is really superior, then why does this site exist?
