they seem to have strange ideas... instead of trying to increase profits by opening up to more people, and getting more customers, they're only interested in milking existing customers, not caring if they lose them. When enough people are gone, they come out with some new thing, charge an assload for it, and get some more quick cash.
They seem very desperate in their business practices.

I ditched OS X because Panther. I was liking where things were going with Jag. It was getting fast, slick, streamlined, stable.
Then Panther came along. It's flaky, sluggish, jerky, and buggy.

Why not stick with Jaguar?

because they can get away with charging that much :(
but you can always get it free if you look hard enough

Charging too much? $100 sounds a lot better than $400 for the full version of xp pro.

I remember I saw some interesting comments about Automator on slashdot and what happens when you combine the privacy settings with Safari.
The new privacy feature makes it so that while it's turned on and you're surfing, Safari doesn't save anything to cache, doesn't save cookies, and doesn't save history, making your session completely secure.
One of the demonstrations with Automator was making it download all images on a given page over a certain size, making it perfect for easily downloading photo galleries.
What I'm wonder is if Steve is trying to make it easier for us to get porn.

it really depends on when you start using osx
i haven't spent anything since i got jag on a pbook
but there are people that started with 10.0(not sure what it used to cost) then spent 130 for jag and then 130 for panther and now 130 for tiger
thats a lot of money, even spread over a few years
