the_black_angel:
Ok i am running
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:0.9.4.1) Gecko/20020508 Netscape6/6.2.3

It is really slow opening and also opening a new window. It will also Hang for no reason that i can see.

If no-one knows why this is happening can someone point me to a browser that i could use that is able to do everything including getting onto Yahoo Chat, I have Omniweb but it is unable to get onto Yahoo Chat. I will not use IE as it stuffs my system up, it continually crashed, and i had to upload updates for it every 10 days or so, plus it can't get into yahoo chat.

Calum:
is it a memory problem? the mac version seems most prone to that.

Also, are you running the latest version of mozilla? it's 1.1 BUT the latest is not the most stable (mozilla is the only browser for which this is the case to my knowledge (discounting IE as a browser))

get the latest stable version of 1.0 for your mac.

just my two pence...

psyjax:
Mozilla is the best. I can think of a few things that can cause this issue.

If you have Netscape installed, or have had it installed Mozilla dosn't seem to gel very well when both these browsers are on the comp. It tries to share the Netscape files but fails misserably.

Choose one or the other.

Do a search for all Netscape stuff and dump it. Then do a clean re-install.

What is you processor speed and or connection speed? I have been running mozilla on a 333Mhz G3 and while redraw (it uses Java heavely for this) can be slugish, the actual browsing is speedy. Im on DSL and have no experience with Mozilla thrugh dialup.

You may want to download one of Mozilla's nightly builds.

Fire.app and Proteous are good multi-chat clients.

let me know.

Master of Reality:
I'm running netscape 2.02 on Mac OS 7.1
it seems to run pretty fast and clean.

Kintaro:
Um get the new version, you are using 0.94 beta release. Get 1.0 Stable.
