Kazaa on macs

i am constantly looking for different and newer ways to file share. with the damn mpaa and the record labels always on everybodys backsides about copyright and crap. it is all becoming too much of a hassel to try to find stuff that works. i have most always been a true limewire belive since it came out. i started with version 1.7. i used limewire fora long time.... like 1 year or so until i say new stuff like aquisiton. never liked aqusition so never used it a lot. then a software called multinet came out. multinet was basically the beta testing name and version of poisened. i loved it instantly. songs downloaded amazingly and most movies wernt too bad. compared to limewire there were so many more files and most everything could download not to mention you could actually connect to more than one user on more than one occasion. however i have also found its flaws. poisened is required to log ur IP to log u into the fasttrack network (kazaa). becuase of this not even macs are safe from the damn copyright commies. it also has a lot of glitchy windows stuff on it. another thing i have found is that any software that you search for is pretty much only windows. its never available for mac cause most fasttrack is on crappy windows PCs. anyways if you are still looking for a good sharing alternative check out www.bittorrent.com or at least any bit torrent software. its probably where the p2p world is headed.

Im glad that mac users can enjoy the kazaa network and all, but when will linux users be able to? Why doesnt someone just create a client that can connect like they did for macs?

No. Multinet was a product called "Multinet". It became "Poisoned". I hate the name Poisoned. I wish it had stayed Multinet. That sounds cooler. Poisoned sounds "XTREAM".
And why is everybody so obsessed with "betas". A beta is nothing more than whatever they wanna call it nowadays. I could make something, work on it for two years, and get it perfect, and then put it out as a "beta". Beta has become a marketing ploy. Beta is pre-release quality. If they have it available for widespread use, then it's obviously been "released". It just hasn't reached 1.0 yet. A lot of good projects are "release quality" but aren't yet at 1.0. Take Mozilla Firebird as a case in point. No software is ever complete, so every release is really a "beta".

Glitchy windows stuff, eh? Such as? How would Poisoned have "glitchy windows stuff"? The thing is written for the Cocoa API. Cocoa is an updated version of the YellowBox/NeXTStep API. It's built around Objective-C, and full object-oriented concepts. Not Win32 which is built on C++. How would there be "glitchy windows stuff"?
