Yuffie:
Apple isnt going the wrong direction, they are just trying to compete with other Music Store Services.
Like someone pointed out, atleast they didnt void using mp3s and shit like Microsofts Palladium thing.

I actually like the service. Even tho im never going to buy a single AAC in my life =)

Why not just have us download mp3s? Isn't the Music Store supposed to work with the iPod anyway?

The iPod 1.3 update for the older iPods (which the newer iPods already have) give them AAC support.

WHOA! I bought 7 songs and got charged for 1! But they charged me $1 not $.99

How odd...

Download like crazy people!

Not quite...if your computer dies, then you log on with your Apple ID, and in iTunes go to Advanced > "Search for purchased music" and it will re-download all of the songs for you. You do the same if you get disconnected during a download, etc.

What's this then?

quote:

"If your hard disk becomes damaged or you lose any of the music you've purchased, you'll have to reimport all your songs and buy any purchased music again to rebuild your library."

EDIT:
That's really odd.

I guess I'll have to find a spare Mac, download a song, and trash the hard drive.

I've already had a download get cut off. The search for purchased music thing fixed it.
