Safari gzip

It's not apple's fault. It seems to me that the last part of the statement applies. gzip works great on my Safari.

GZIP works fine in all my borwsers. Doesn't "support" it? Are they just talking about a plug-in that forwards it to Sruffit Expander?
Whatever. GZIP is Unix. OS X is Unix. They work together fine for me.

The URL was everwars.com, which I just realized I was able to visit with Safari several weeks ago. Weird.

That's wierd, I just tried visiting that website with the latest version of the Mac OS X Internet Explorer (please don't laugh at me having it) and Safari. No idea what's going on.

I just reinstalled Safari. Still doesn't work. That's okay, not much of a loss since Everwars is a bloody waste of time.

Safari seems to handle gzip files okay to me. I usually encounter them with a .tgz extension. Safari hands them off to StuffIt, then I trash the expanded files and re-decompress them with the Mac OS X Encoding Plethora decoder. That's because StuffIt has a bug that truncates file names in gzip archives that can ruin things if you're compiling or running an install script.

This is probaly just another case of un-educated developers, that probably use Dreamweaver cos they don't know HTML and Visual Studio co's all they can do is press buttons like monkeys. Unlike monkeys they can't think for themself.

I'm feed up with soddy websites that lock everyone out that's not using fucking crap IE. These people should go back to school.

The above is an example of a site that blocks Safari for no apparent reason, again developers that can't do their job. I'm sure there are many, many sites out there that do this to Moz as well.


The only thing that I would say about Safari is that it is after all beta, are we expecting to much?
