I've heard of USB-to-Ethernet adapter/dongle things... that might work?

I've seen people plug modem cables into hubs (neophytes who didn't know the difference), and it actually worked, although slowly! (in windows, make of that what you want  ;)  ) I wouldn't try it, though.

yep the monochrome PB 180 with OS 7.1 (no battery in it tho)

you're using a very old computer with no built in ethernet and as no means, as i know of, to add it.  

there is localtalk, and if you have an external modem, you can dial up an isp.  there is no modem to ethernet adapter on this planet.
