I've heard good things about the performance of Panther on G3 machines.  Of course, you'll have to pay for the upgrade . . .

Oh, and Apple likes to tout Office v.X because they seem to be focusing on business markets where M$ presence is the strongest.  Naturally they are targeting consumers also, but every computer company wants part of that pie.

just between the two of us... Panther is GOOOOOOOOD on the G3. Vid. performance is greatly improved. I'm liking it so far! I think I will in fact, pay 'em again for it.
