Operating Systems > macOS
is Mac really an answer?
jasonlane:
There's no comparison between XP and OSX, OS X leaves XP in the dust. Moz is a great browser, possibly better than Safari but Safari is by far the better end experience in my opinion.

You would think that Apple would have tons of official propaganda about their OSes re "Treacherous Computing", but that doesnt seem to be the case. Maybe they ought to have some guerilla marketing geared towards those of us who are sick and tired of supporting companies that dont give a fuck about their users. Instead, they brag about how cool OfficeX is. Strange.
By the way, the iBook seems like a much better buy than the Powerbook, as far as brandnew machines go. inch for inch, what you're really paying for is the titanium case.

I will have to disagree...
at Amazon.com you can get a Superdrive loaded 12" powerbook for 1700, 100 less than Apple sells it for. The 12" has a 867G4 faster than any G3 in the iBook. A DVD Burner. a 40gig HD etc. and its smaller than the iBook. Don't get a 15" powerbook. Updates are expected very soon.

I completely concur with the opinion that Apple should do full-page newspaper spreads listing all the shit Windows logs in "hidden folders" and so forth.

hehe. ;)
I'm of the opinion that there (M$) doing it to themself. People are wiseing up, they will only take so much.
But a full page spread in al the major broadsheets would be a nail in the coffin. Perhaps we need to raise a few thousand and do it our self. Don't think there's anything they could do about it????
