Yes thay are dope computers, they may cost more then a p4 but when you use one everyday you will know where your extra money went.  And dont be fooled by the mhz shit, a 1ghz g4 will take out a 2ghz p4.

Yeah, Wintel users are so obsessed with megaflupes and gigamules that they don't realize how much more efficient Macs are at processing.

As I've always said. A PC can run at a zillion GHz for all I care. If it runs Windoze, it just means it sucks really fast.

If I were running Linux, then yes, I'd buy a PC. I love Jaguar though, so I'll take beautiful, expensive and relatively slow anyday, as long as I have OS X.

It's amazing to me that both the hardware AND the OS are both so amazing and beautifully integrated in Macs.

Save those pennies.

Oh, and since I noticed your sig, I figured you might like this story

Same here, if given the choice between a Quick, but otherwise low quality Honda Civic and on of those new fangled Maybachs the maybach wins hands down. www.maybachusa.com if u have no fucking idea what a Maybach is, tsk tsk.

P.S. Just look at the glass case

Yeah and a 1.73 ghz Athlon XP will kick the ass of a 2.2 ghz P4. Combine AMD with Linux and you are set.

Not nearly as many as for the PC, but more then enough for anyone who isn't hardcore.
Check http://www.macgamer.com/
and my friend's company:
http://www.aspyr.com/

Then again if I were more of a gamer, I'd drop a couple hundred on a PS2 (which you can install Linux on).

Marklar? Not gonna get it, even if it does exist.

My recommendation: hop over to baucomcomputers.com and get a Blue and White G3 with plenty (>=256) of RAM. Get 10.2 and you're done, for way less than half the price of newer Macs.
