Panther, I'm impressed. The install, upgrade was smooth. No problems.
Xcode is awesome now, Jboss install and now a default Web App project, Ant build scripts (Ant is also installed), Xdoclet (for you projects documentation). Just awesome really.
And M$ keeps bashing on about Visual DOT.NOT studio, well Bill we don't need it, especially when you expect us to pay $799.00. or $479.00 for an upgrade. How privileged we must all feel.
Is that Visual, as in for Monkeys?
Apple have essentially integrated J2EE into Xcode. It's obvious which horse (along with IBM, Apache, Sun. etc., etc., etc...) Apple are backing.
The one feature I liked the Idea of in Longworn was RSS feeds as a more integral part of the OS. There seems to be a lot more in terms of the OS X SDK's (10.3 SDK, development headers etc.) or at least as part of the upgrade. There's also some "AppleEvents" & "AppleScript" examples of SOAP/XMLRPC. So I might just think about developing my own.
Expose is still amazing, something that really is useful and will save a lot of time if you're like me and has 30+ windows open sometimes and needs to keep switching between them often.
PDF is so fast now, searching is really fast. Still some little things. All in all 10 out of 10.
I'll stop ranting now
