mono block amp

ive seen 2000 or so watt mono block amps on ebay for a few hundred or more, what exactaly would i use a single channel 2kwatt amp for, i was thinking of something like a box with 4 15" subs in it, each rated to arout 600 watts rms, 1200 total power. and for referance, this would be for my hometheater i want to build

what you need to do is figure out the natural resonance frequency of normal glass. You may have to turn the amp up really loud as normal glass doesnt usually have a good resonance. Crystal on the other hand would be eaiser to break.

You could buy a few 2000WATT amps and hook em all up to a 10000WATT speaker and turn it up as loud as possible and just the brute force of the sound waves will shatter the glass.

You could also use it to crack metal safes by setting the speaker to the Hz of the metals natural resonance.
