I have a stupid question..

Why do a lot of people here who hate Microsuck use MSN Messenger? I only do because my friends do, but I'm in the process of converting as many as I can to ICQ or Yahoo.

It is a good IM thing but they constantly upgrade it so that GAIM users have to fix it and then upgrade. It's like MS Word and OpenOffice.org.

Anything but aMSN. I just hope that one day GAIM will be to trillian as XMMS is to winamp.

It already is. It supports almost all the features Trillian does...

P.S
Trillian used to be based off of Gaim.

I technically could be on MSN because Fire supports it, but the best way to destroy a company's market share is not to be a part of it.

What I meant was with skins. They don't support Trillian skins and a lot of features (voice chat, webcams, etc) that Trillian does.

Hmm... I use MSN Messenger because I don't know anything
else program that would do the same. Why should I
move to some other program? I think that messenger
is enough to me, or do you have any real reason to
use some other program(s)?

If Microsoft releases something that doesn't suck, it will be MVC - Microsoft Vacuum Cleaner.

I use everything BUT Msn, yahoo, ICQ, aim, etc. Not that I have anything against MSN messenger, I've just been too lazy to set up an account.

MSN is short for MicroSoft Network. And if you haven't noticed you're on an anti-microsoft forum. Use GAIM, or pirate Trillian if you aren't anti-closed source.
