The Webmaster.. in your feedbacks...
kinky:
yes, that is the definition of being productive. and nothing is void because it does still supports my statement.
and yes to each their own... cuz i also own a few consoles and a few computers, and i rarely play games on my consoles, i perfer the computer.
anyways my point of this topic isnt to fight over what is a better gaming platform... nothing is better than something else... unless all the users have the same exact needs.
My point is, i find it odd, when we are all open minded people (im guessing here) that think people should have a choice, and not be forced to use something like windows just cuz of marketing and illegal tactics, that the webmaster would say, multiple times, for people to just get a console to play games. Some people like to have control, they dont want dumbed down stuff that just does everything for you... like Windows... or consoles

Ok ok... when I said productive I didn't want to lay a time bomb. Games are fantastic and not at all useless, I just mean you don't get any REAL world things done.
For example, lately I have been playing StarCraft online with my bro. against 6 computer AI opponents at insane difficulty. (this is suicide to even the most veteran starcraft gamer). We fought till the bitter end and came thrugh, haggard, beaten, sweating IRL with the taste of victory in our mouths. I felt like the troops when they came home to time square after WWII.
Were else could I get a similar feeling?
In Baldur's Gate 2 I became a bard of much repute, who ran a playhouse, fell in love with a winged elf, and saved the world from demonic invasion. That's hell of a productive endever if you ask me! So what if you never see the results IRL I treasure them allways :D .
Anyway...
I simply meant all this in the context of price. While fantastic programs, you can't really justify purchasing a very expensive machine just to play them.
Master of Reality:
i hardly ever use my console anymore (PSX).
i mainly play games on my computer.

Kinky: I don't honestly know a damn thing about gaming, to tell the truth. I only own a PlayStation (the first one) and maybe three or four games. (I don't even remember how many, exactly). I haven't even played it in the last couple of years. So if my response that people should just "get a console" is inadequate, well . . . (shrug) sorry or whatever. It just seems like it's more economical, and the price difference between a console and a PC is worth the trade-off (if any) there is in game selection.
How anybody has TIME to play games is really beyond me. I can barely update this site regularly, and that's without a job. If I ever am employed again, cobwebs are going to grow all over this thing . . .
