28 Days Later movie

I just spent $10 to see the movie 28 Days Later. 2 days later I find out it's now playing with an alternate ending! Anyone know exactly what happens in this second ending?

Bozo the Clown comes along with a bunch of giant guns and shoots up the bad guys while MacGyver makes bombs out of chewing gum and throws them around at stuff and then Captain Kirk shoots everything with the Enterprise's phasers

That would be better than either ending

No, at the alternate ending they wake up and find out it's all a dream.
