I use a amplifier which is older then me (it's about 25-30 years old), I fried one of my speakers so I only have mono sound. And my cd player is one of the first cd players ever released by phillips .... am I cutting edge or what?

well, if you only took out the surround on the speaker that is blown, you can buy a repair kit for them, or you can go support your local pawn shop, there was a very nice set of peavy's in there for 375, and i think i might have been able to get the price down a bit. but i have things that need to spend 300 on like a new monitor, my previuosly mentiouned upgrade, car insuriance/*bastards*/
