what i want is that HTML 4.1 (4.01?) Transitional. Ya know the same certification as Voids one.
I think i stuffed up my <p></p> tage somewhere but i cant find where? Any helps appreciated. i really want to be able to put that w3c pic on my page!

Pantso:
It's HTML 4.01 Transitional. Now, in order for your page to be validated, you have to go here and submit your URL or an html document on your local drive. You can also download Dave Ragett's excellent HTML tidy program, which automatically checks for HTML errors and corrects them. You can find it here.

I'm now in the process of converting my page to xhtml 1.0. So far I've converted my index page.

crikey! so what's the difference between all that stuff?

Pantso:
XHTML is basically a reformulation of HTML 4.01 with a combination of XML (Extensible Markup Language). For more info on XHTML, XML, HTML etc you can visit the w3.org site. Also, if you use HTML tidy, you can convert your existing HTML page to XHTML 1.0, without having to go over the code line by line.

it would probably be more informative for me, and generate tighter code if i did it by hand though, yes?

also, is raggett the world's html cop these days?

he seems to have a monopoly on markup!
