Can someone please help me get my website certified HTML? Please

I don't think so since the HTML tidy output code is pretty tight indeed at least with XHTML 1.0 Transitional. I also managed to get my page validated as XHTML 1.0 Transitional after using HTML Tidy so I don't think there will be any problems but I agree that it would be more informative for you.

As for Raggett, I really don't know. All I know is that he's currently looking for a new job.   :D

Hey Doogee, looks like you got your site to pass validation huh?  Shame on Red Hat though, they have a 4.01 valid ICON at the bottom of their page yet when you click on it, it doesn't pass:

http://www.redhat.com/

I should send them a note. I would want to fix that right up if I were them.

I had the same problem with my site because of the  banners used by Netfirms at the beginning of the page (the benefits of free hosting) as well as with the Javascript in their ads. Anyway, I removed the W3 validated XHTML and CSS icons, although my page is both XHTML and CSS valid (that is when I upload the pages from my HD for validation).   :(

Many many moons ago when I had some pages on xoom.com they did the same thing with the JavaScript wrappers. I wrote a simple little piece of JavaScript that basically eliminated their banners. I wonder if it would still work. Hmmmm, digging..... yep, try adding this right under your "<HEAD>" tag:

--- Code: ---
--- End code ---

Thanks void! I tried it but unfortunately it doesn't work.   :(   I wish I could host it on my machine but then again I'm on dialup, so there's really no point in trying to do that. Nevertheless, I could place the W3 icons with a warning to remove the Javascript code, to anyone who might want to re-validate it.

Anyway, thanks again for the tip.
