It is a true joy for me to find this site! Sometimes I feel like a lonely voice, crying in the wilderness about the Evil Giant and its lousy, bug-ridden bloatware, and here is a whole domain devoted to the concept! (To which I was pointed by a friend who actually seems to believe in Microsoft, though I have tried hard to convince him to think otherwise.)
The last relatively stable Windows (r)(c)(fuckem) platform I ran on was a 386 with 3.11, loaded up with all the fixes it could bear. As far as I can tell, since then, not only has the absolute total of a release's number of bugs been going up, but even the bugs per n lines of code has been going up -- that is, the total bugs have been going up exponentially!
I curse Redmond's black hearts, their rape, pillage and lie methodologies, and the malaise that seems to deem them "good enough!"
And lend my rage to your cause.
