ok, i was watching my tv, and this anti-drug commercial came on. like this kid was disagreeing with his dad that the drug money supports terrorists/*don't support terrorism, make it yourself :D */ and his dad basiclly told him that it was the truth becuase he said so, and didn't give any valid proof to his argument and that it didn't need any proof becuase he said so, and that it is wrong to ask questions.

It depends on what you consider terrorism. I live in a city where drugs are a huge cause of homicide and many other crimes. Its not exactly terrorism, but it is indeed terrible.
choasforages:
umm, the county i live in has one of the worse herion problems, and baltomore isn't that far away/*down 26 to the beltway i think, and D.C. */
think of it this way, if drugs wern't so expensive, i think the killing would kinda drop off/*unless your really fuxxored and in a bad mood, or do something stupid like drive/operate machinery under the influence of mind altering chemicals*/ all sorts of stuff goes into the price of the drugs on the street. things like transportation, court charges, bribes. then add on the price gouging and greed. now, if they wern't illegal, the court charges would drop, bribes wouldn't be needed, and transportation wouldn't involve all the hazards, so the only things that would be then left would be actally manufacture and greed.
jtpenrod:
quote:"Drugs don't support terrorism."
"Yes they do."
"No they don't."
"Yes they do. They just do."
And then the commercial ends! That's all there is!
--- End quote ---
Better that than having them wondering how much money the Saudis get for oil is diverted to the support of terrorism! :D

Its easy to say that crime would go down if drugs were legalized. Have you ever seen a crack addict? Now just imagine if there were 10 times as many of those people around, and it was all legal. This world would be a nightmare. A crack addict will do anything for crack including kill, steal, and generally bad shit. Making crack legal would increase its use and therefore we would have a lot of junkies ruining life for everyone.
choasforages:
and if it was legal, they probably wouldn't have to kill as much for it. and yes, lots of saudi money supports terrorism, but big business that bush supports is involved with oil.
