The XP User IP/Open Port Contest Race!
« on: 14 June 2002, 18:50 »
So, i am a moderator so i am able to keep track of all the IP addresses that Windows XP User54645646whocares?4664564 has posted his so called posts from.

This means that i have a responsibility not to tell anybody what those IP addresses are.

Most of you however are not moderators and you do not have access to any priveleged information about XP User at all, including his name, location et cetera, just the fact that he posts horseshit here all the time.

Well...

In the same way that you sometimes see adverts where people invite you to break into their box to prove how secure it is, I would like to issue the challenge to anybody who is NOT in any way a moderator of these forums to see if they can break into XP Users computer, and how much they can access/change.

I will not be participating myself, as i have no networking knowledge to speak of, and anyway, I'm a mod so i'm out of the running.

If Windows XP is the operating system crafted by the gods themselves, as User would have us believe, then i think this study may show it up a bit more. If however XP is a cobbled together heap of shit which has had more effort go into the copy protection than the actual system, then that may show up too.....

Of course, nobody might take up the challenge, but that would be a bit of a shame, where's your feeling of sportsmanship? go on, have a go!

to XP User46884646fuckthatsalongnumber!6386178, obviously you are exempt since you have physical access to your own machine, however you can still participate, by attempting to break into any of the linux computers that many of our posters use.

Good luck to all!   :D

My IP address changes every time I log on.  Wouldn't that pose a problem?

PS my firewall wasn't turned on the other day because I have to turn the XP firewall off to send files in MSN messenger.

thanks for the info! both of those things should be a help to anyone who wants to take up the challenge!

Glad to see you're entering into the spirit, XP User, but don't make it too easy now!

But, go ahead, I don't care; try to break into my computer.  It's running Windows XP home edition /w only the mere XP firewall running and all the latest security updates.  Just, if you do break in don't delete anything, just put a text file on my desktop that says "you've been had, xp loser Linux rules" or something.

no that's not fair, x11, you're a mod, sorry, but people aren't allowed to ask you, and you can't have a go i'm afraid!

XP Loser, i think that if somebody gains access, then they can do what they like, that's what access is all about, although i don't think a lot of people will go for this challenge so you're probably safe.

Since this site allows "img src=" tags, all you have to do is put an image in a message in this thread that resides on a server that you have access to the server logs on. Then watch the forums closely and when XP Luser posts grab his IP address from your server logs.  Then quickly have at him...
Someone please remove this account. Thanks...

you must use voidmains method, or another of yr own devising, the rules of this game are that you cannot get info from a moderator. (other users is okay though...)

i'll break into his computer using a cute little tool known as THE HAMMER 2002

once i am in there i will engage the VICE GRIP VIRUS

wow, that nifty xp firewall with all those incredible security updates sure worked wonders on that one

really though i think the best thing to do would be set up a routine with another xp dialup machine and once you have him, get him

there is one thing, though... i haven't seen any "BLACK ULTRA GAY" bs outta him... can't we just celebrate the worldwide "bash the lamers holiday" --i think hallmark has cards for it

oh, and cover your asses, there is no way in hell i would even know how to begin on xp

Calum, isn't building up a militia to hack a guy's computer like super illegal? didn't they just rule that black hat hackers can get up to 20 years in jail? ironic how a smart person who hack gets 4x as much time in jail as a guy who stabs somebody......
