Looking for volunteers that are good with HTML

Guys, a friend of mine is working with the Canadian/Czech Republic Chamber of Commerce in Marketing/PR. They're currently doing a new marketing push and part of it is a redesign of their website, currently at http://www.ccrcc.net

All the info on the site is up to date, but the design is horridly behind. They're looking for a full rebuild to be done by February. Contact Liz Fiala at [email protected] for more info. C'mon guys, we could really make a statement by showing how we anti-MS and Open Source guys can help out!

I know html, but that was part of my problem. In this day and age html knowledge just isnt enough. I personally love php, although I dont know much about it. I think php would be a much better solution for a modern website.

I can do PHP quite well.

If they give me the plane tickets, and the office to do it down there, id do it free of charge over my upcoming school holidays.

PHP is what I've decided should be the solution. The Quirk has volunteered his skills, but so much the better.

Most of the work will be done where you are and then we'll set up some place to upload to. I'll most likely be "coordinating" the effort.

Graphic artists are also welcomed.

Required... OPEN STANDARDS... let's show 'em what UNIX can do. I've already told her that if anything gets touched by MS editing tools... we'll trash it. We're going for 100% open, and as close to pure, compliant code as we can. Cos we're good guys like that!

designers are probably needed more than coders for this kind of thing.

sadly i am less than mediocre at either. still, happy to help if, by some fluke, all the other volunteers get stricken by the black death or something!

(I was joking about the plane ticket bit)

All html pages should look like this:
http://voidmain.kicks-ass.net
www.exeleven.tk

Or this, www.gilpinsgarage.cjb.net, now thats a good design, that loads fast. Because I dont be annoying and waste bandwidth on stupid friggen Curved corners and stuff. But I know PHP now and I could do that same with dynamic pages.

So yea ill help, it will be great to show what we can do.

I know HTML but I think that php would be the way to go here. You might also want to find some designers, like Calum wrote.
