Need advice for school
Bazoukas:
Right now i am going to Westwood college and they have an accelerated program. I will be done july 30th.
My problem is that in courses that dont have anything to do with my major, i dont py attention.
Instead I choose to learn things that school doesnt teach.
After I graduate I want to continue for Computer Science at NYU or University IL of Chicago or Prudue at Lafayte. In other words i am aiming for a top of the line school (if i get lucky i will get in).
Now here is my question, devote all my energy at getting A's at all courses, or devoting my energy to all Computer related classes and activites outside of school (like deploying my own web server with my own web site with C++ tutorials and more, build a Linux From Scratch distro and things like that).
I am asking because from what i hear such schools pay much attention to things like that.
BTW i work full time (most of the times, i get to leave early from work many time when we have nothing to do).
Your thoughts?

Voidman sometimes I just get pissed cause people that go BY THE BOOK like anal retentive freaks end up not knowing jackshit compared with others who go via the back roads (not to say that i am MR know it all - i cant even claim that I know-, but compared to the other students, shit i know more).
