Today, consumers are permitted to make copies of copyrighted works for personal use or educational purposes, a principle known as "fair use." But under the new rules, the FCC will allow for technical roadblocks that could alter those long-held rights.

The thing that pisses me off the most about this is that they want to make all of the decisions about OUR entertainment for us. I guess the target audiences dont matter anymore. We have no choice. Im sick of being told what to watch, when to watch it. I do not want some studio execs telling me what to do with my free time. Basically fuck them and their tv. Fuck them all. Fuck their music and movies. I will just stop watching and listening. These fucks need to listen to the consumers. Like they used to. They are too scared of change.

Ecsyle:

It's not a matter of change, it's just that nobody told them where to stop. Especially after the court case that declared corporations to have the same rights as people in the United States at least. And from there, things kinda went to shit. They had money, and they controlled jobs at their company, so they had power that people really didn't have, which is why I think they should overturn that precedent that grants corporations the same rights as people. If anything they should be more restricted than they are now. But it's 3 in the morning, so I'll finish this later.
"George Bush says 'we are losing the war on drugs'. Well you know what that implies? There's a war going on, and people on drugs are winning it! Well what does that tell you about drugs? Some smart, creative motherfuckers on that side."  --Bill Hicks
