 then, there is the slave machine, it helps ease the load of render times for 3d studio max and viz, its running a 1ghz pentium3 with a 40gig western digital harddrive, geforce2mx 32bit, running win2k, 512ram, sharing the monitor/keyboard and mouse with the dual athlon machine. This machine was intended to be for suse linux, but i had a job that needed the machine for rendering.
my everyday computer is an 800 mhz G4 running jaguar.
50gig local drive,
60 gig firewire drive for media files.
i have a 19" viewsonic on this one. (what i would give for a 23"cinema display!!)
I love this computer the most. as soon as i am proficient enough with maya/formZ, the other two windows machines are gone. linux all the way.
