Explain something to me...
Is this operation gearing up to be an AOL style mail-spamming CD operation
Cuz ya know... if it works for AOL, it just may work for Linux.
Especially if you time it with the release of a costly service Pack from M$, that way getting a CD in the mail that says Free OS! Then you are more likely to consider giving it a try.
The CD's should be hybrid. That is be windows readable in order to contain Documentation and Quick Star linux Guide. A manual etc. It should also be geard tword the concept of dual booting since most people will only want to get their feet wet. You tell them that they can install this OS side by side with windows, give them an easy installer and you are done.
I like this idea very much.
How do you fund a CD mailing operation? We need a website with a payPal account, we request at Linux forums for donations. We pay some manufacturer for CD's and the mailing operation itself can be done Grass Roots from a P.O. Box.
To get Mail adressess we could either purchase them from one of those big firms. But that's expensive.... hmmm... well there is a stumper.
How do you get potential adresses?
