look. my ISP are a bunch of fucking cunts. if somebody else wants to do this fucking forum then go for it and let me know so i can point my paltry free url at it. i only set this up because no other bugger had done it and now i have failed so tough.

i will try again if my ISP answers my emails before anybody else gets their ass in gear.

no need to thank me! i just spent all day failing to get a forum set up!

i wish i had a server of my own, depending on other people really sucks.

so is anybody else setting up a forum? i really think we need a forum where only registered members can post and where all but the 'general' section are hidden from all except those in the 'private' group. this way anybody who wants in muct ask those who are already in and we can talk in a relaxed fashion knowing we won't be being overheard or pressured by anybody.

also it will mean none of our stuff gets buried anywhere in the lounge here.

Someone could set up a free Bravenet forum, although those are incredibly crappy and we probably should only do that as a last resort. If we did that I could host it, but as far as "real" forums go, I have no idea how to set them up.

I tried to install phpBB2 on Lycos as well and failed tragically.   :(   I guess we shouldn't be depending on free services. I was thinking of upgrading my netfirms account and use phpBB2 there, but I really doubt if it's worth it. Hell, I'd even use my iBook as a server if I weren't on dialup!!   :mad:  

So, anyone with a bit of bandwidth to spare for the cause?!   :confused:
