Can you please post a link to where Adobe announced this great news?
I really think if Adobe does this then it'll be the beginning of the end for them. I used to have a high respect for Adobe and think of them as one of the best, as I use a lot of their products. But with their recent decision to make Premiere XP-only, and now this, that respect is slowly diminishing. By the way, has anyone seen how ugly and slow their new setups are for the newest versions of their program (I'm specifically referring to Premiere 7 and Encore DVD 1.0). All because they're using the newest version of M$ Windows Installer.
As for the activation thing, it would only discourage me even more from paying for their software legitamitely. I usually end up re-installing my Windows every 4 months or so because of how slow they get and how filthy the registry gets. So what the fuck, then that means I can't use a program I paid for after about a year??? NONSENSE!!!!
By the way, if all this is true, then how come they haven't implemented product activation into Premiere 7 which just came out?
