i bet you were! didn't mean to be patronising, but i like to post more stuff than is needed sometimes in the hope that some other web surfer might end up reading it and learn something.
and if we're getting into statistics that we heard from michael moore, let me tell you that at his live show he told us that 80% (84%?) of americans cannot find iraq on a map. 69% cannot find the UK on a map and... 19% cannot find the USA on a map. I ache for the truly sensible americans in the world. (the ones who actually know the locations of all the countries the US has bombed)

this cannot be true... surely this HAS to be exagerated??? How the fuck could you MISS iraq? Its frigging huge! Just north east of egypt a bit, look for tiny Kuwait to the bottom of it on the coast and there you go! If this is true I fear very much for my safety... these nuts have nuclear capability...

why would he exaggerate? if it had been half that it still would ridiculous, and if he exaggerates the figures, it takes away his credibility.

Wait a moment - I must be parsing this incorrectly.
"the millenium would have come faster"? As in the year 2000 being not 2000 - x but 2000 - x - c years away (x element of N and the year people were in, and c element of N)? PLEASE tell me I am an idiot and you in fact mean something else.
Ugh - some people amaze and horrify me at the same time. How did we get on the top of the food chain?
