I hear this argument about unstable drivers, and at times you hear it so often that it makes sense, Oh wait! then you start to think...What drivers make windows unstable!?

The generic mouse driver? from Win98?
The SBlaster driver?
The MS Sidewinder driver? (Oh, not that one)
The Iomega zip drivers?
The Nvidia drivers? (we're screwed if it's this one)

What fucking drivers are to blame when Word 2000 crashes when I try to open a *.doc file?

What drivers does Internet Explorer use so I can change them?

I'm being sarcastic of course! But come on! Are you telling me that a little itty bitty *.dll or *.vxd can bring a Big Ol OS to it's knees?

That is Bullshit! At least in Linux, if a program bites it, then you can say it's a shitty program. And the kernel could care less.  Your os is still up and running and you can install any other handy program that does the same thing, and is more stable.

Done, had to say it

Dude...Microshit sucks ass.     I am tired of stupid programs not working, blue screens, viruses, memory usage, etc. The only thing I need Winblows for is for games and some of my graphic programs. Everything else, I can do on linux. I can't stand microcock, they have to stick their nose into everything...buying the rights to games, having to make new OS versions every few years, and now the Xcocks. Well, at least the PS2 has a linux kit! Fiance is RHCE and thats where I decided to play with linux, too bad I didn't know about this long ago heh.

good fucking point? what fucking drivers are they? word still crashes, so something must be making it do it... either it's the drivers or... IT'S THE FUCKING SHITTY OPERATING SYSTEM!!!! OH MY GODS!!! WHY DIDN'T WE THINK OF THAT BEFORE!!!! (et c)

oh right.... not so sarcastic as you might think i suspect.

firstly yes. That has happened to me on MANY MANY occasions. It requires a reinstall. The dlls are fucking a pain in the arse but if it's a VxD then forget it. Reinstall or bust. What sort of "system" "works" in this ridiculously top heavy way? plus it puts all its dlls and VdX files in one place! for ease of accidental overwriting methinks...

Suck it. It's the truth.

bollocks! it MAY WELL be config info! if somebody else is running that program fine then how can you say it's fucked? there's no getting around it, it either compiled fucked, or it has fucked entries in it's config files!

yes. this much is true, but hey i think you give windows the benefit of the dount far too much here. nevermind, you'll learn!   :D
