And if they only allow certain file types just zip it up and rename it to "bazoukas.jpg" and upload it.    We can straighten it out after we download it.

I agree with Refalm and Cloudstrife, and I do and do try to help people politely. We don't want to give a bad first impression...It scares them off

I too try to treat people who come here as politely as possible even M$ Windows users, except for those who are being provocative and offensive. I also believe that when a Windows user comes here he should be presented with the options, like Refalm wrote, and not redirected to windows forums or bluntly insulted.

"Throwing" people out of the forums for no reason, creates a bad impression not only for this site but for people who use the alternatives in general.

There have been at least 3 to 5 threads with nearly identical messages on this subject. Are we going to start a 6th? The people who want to help are going to help, the people who want to say "fuck off" are going to say "fuck off". There's nothing anyone can do about it. I am personally toward the "fuck off" side but in a nice way.    Anyone who comes to a site called "Fuck Microsoft" asking for help with "Microsoft" have a problem with their elevator not reaching the top floor.

As soon as we start fixing M$ problems for people this place will become http://www.windowsbbs.com/ and if that is what you want this to turn in to then I suggest you satisfy your urge by helping the windoids over there... Keep the shit out of here. I refer them nicely to that site and I also mention that there is a better way. What's not nice about that? I don't believe anyone could ask for any more than that.

You all know how I feel about it anyway. And I know how you all feel about it, which makes this thread even more pointless. Just my 37 cents.

Anyone who comes here and posts pro M$ is liable and deserving of flaming. My view is simple enough. If they want help configuring an M$ application then in words of one syllable - FUCK OFF.

HOWEVER, I do believe our assitance should be given (according to ones own desire) to non-M$ applications, even if they run under Windows. As for flaming. There are people who post here who deserve the proverbial kick up the arse. And I would be a miserable shit indeed if I didn't get a good laugh from the windoid flaming, under no account should this stop.

I am actually opposed to giving out the windows BS thread, that is helping them be stupid, it's bad for them, and we need to protect these poor and needy people, who through no fault of their own, have fallen throught he cracks in this computer age of ours. You would not provide alcohol to the alcoholic, why provide assignine stupidity to the misguided.
