ho ho ho!

it's not christmas yet though, even in australia where there is 3 and a half hours to go.

and what with me being an integrational polytheist, christmas is no big deal to me. And as for a drunk new year, i'll be spending the turn of the year at a buddhist retreat so no alcohol then!

I actually wrote this article about christmas last night for those of you who might be interested...

Nice piece of work Calum.
Actually I don't give a rat's ass about Christmas.
Most people I know don't, I'm an atheist, I'm not gonna celebrate anything tonight.
I'll probably watch a few movies, eat stuff I normally don't eat and stay up quite late, all by myself at home.
I WILL be online tonight  ;)

But since there are quite a few people that I like on these forums I just grasped the opportunity to wish you all the best

For me Christmas means a lot, but not in the christian way, but in the old way, the old ceremony called Yule Tide. In those days one celebrated the birth of the sun, from being the darkest nights of the year to the slow arrival of spring.

This was not only a germanic thing, romans, celts and slavic people all celebrated this time of year. You can see why the church chose the night between 24th and 25 Dec to be the birthday of Jesus. As it is now, it seems we don

its called assimilate and innovate. and jesus freaks arn't the only ones, but really if you look at what the bible says, and what current christians say, its soo outa whack, and if you ask them, they give you shit about the will of god. all religions are powerplays, but alot of christinaty doens''t have a higher authority fucking them over like the cathocs do/*to the tune of another brick in the wall "hey preacher, leave them boys alone"*/ they are soo brain washed, and its not till you are one for awhile you start hearing all the reall bullshit, that jesus only loves you when you repent and drink wine with bread and pretend its his body and blood
