Calum:
haven't watched it yet, but you know, for a LINUX video, it's ONLY AVAILABLE FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER OR QUICKTIME!!! WHAT A BUNCH OF DUMBASSES!!! i don't know if the video will be as dumb, but here's hoping...

voidmain:
Well, mplayer can play the video in both formats. If you are running RedHat 7.3 I'll give you instructions for installing mplayer. Other RPM based systems might work as well but I have only tested on RedHat.

# wget ftp://speakeasy.rpmfind.net/linux/falsehope/home/rathann/mplayer/cvs/mplayer-common-0.90pre8.20020922-1.i386.rpm
# wget ftp://speakeasy.rpmfind.net/linux/falsehope/home/rathann/mplayer/cvs/mplayer-0.90pre8.20020922-1.i386.rpm
# wget http://ftp.lug.udel.edu/MPlayer/releases/w32codec.tar.bz2
# rpm -Uvh mplayer*rpm
# tar --bzip -xvf w32codec.tar.bz2
# mv w32codec-0.90 /usr/lib/win32

Then get the movies:

$ wget http://www.compassrosemedia.com/popup/img/dream.wmv

and/or

$ wget wget http://www.compassrosemedia.com/popup/img/dream.mov

Then play it by:
$ mplayer -vo x11 dream.mov

Optionally you can install the GUI (get the "mplayer-skin", "mplayer-gui", and "mplayer-font" RPMs). And even more optionally you can get the mencoder video encoder but that's beyond the scope of this...

I believe you can use mplayer as a browser plugin as well and if you need instructions for your particular browser, search around and let me know how as I've not done it.
