why do people start these silly rumours? like when tons of people thought michael moorcock (wow! coincidence!) was dead in the seventies, because his publisher published a 3 line obituary in the front of his latest book (for some unkonwn reason, he was definitely not dead!). the first time moorcock heard about it was when a group of teenage hippies approached him while he was tripping at a hawkwind concert and told him he was dead (he later realised they were saying we thought you were dead).
