12,6% of Microsoft's sales in the Netherlands are from the Dutch government... what if the government switched to Linux and BSD?  ;)

BC Marijuanna party should start a campaign to get out government to use Linux, would help with our costs some. Actually, does the BC government use Linux?

by the way, what right does Microsoft Nederland have to tell a political party what to do? how dare they poo poo the business plans of somebody who is not in any way connected to them? (well anyway i can't see how they'd be connected to Microsoft Nederland...)

Yeah, if you only knew how much our school spends on new pc's that all run win98 ... heck, but if they'd even run ONE pc on win98, they'd have to pay for all 250 as i'f they'd all be running win98 ... it's part of the agreement they settled with m$

They recently purchased about 40 new computers, all 1200+ MHz and all optical mice ! Djeez, I could make a better use of it: put it in my home and put linux on it

We have a LOT of computers in our school-each one is about 933mhz and 128mb of ram. You know what they did? They installed Windows XP on them. Crazy bastards. At least we have on teacher who's petitioning to get the new iMacs in our school (a much bigger school did this, and he's a mac freak).

They have EVERY right to disagree with the green party, and talk to whoever will listen to try and convince them. This is called free speech, and Microsoft, as everyone (including evil things) should have the right for this.
After all, if we don't extend this right to them, by what means can we call it an universal right? And if it's not an universal right, the step from there and censoring *us* is horribly small.
They, however, can't force anything ofcourse. But they don't, in this case.
